St.Roch II

The RCMP 20-metre twin hulled aluminum catamaran Nadon was rechristened St. Roch II for the retracing of the epic first transit west to east, of the Northwest passage by the original wooden RCMP schooner St. Roch more than half a century ago. RCMP Sergeant Ken Burton skipper, and his crew are to be complimented on their tremendous accomplishment, the smallest vessel ever to circumnavigate North America.
The purpose of the voyage was to bring attention to the plight of the original St.Roch, which is slowly decaying at the Vancouver Maritime Museum for lack of funds. Interested parties can make donations at the St. Roch website.
